William Bailey James Smith

William Bailey James Smith, 16, of 509 Indian Springs Rd., went home to be with Lord, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Cherokee Medical Center. He was the son of David Kevin Smith and Traci Loving Smith and grandson of Barbara Smith, the late David L Smith, Angelia Loving, the late Danny Loving and Special Papa Clifford Bledsoe.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, left to cherish his memory are siblings Devin Hambright (Katelynn), Breanna Hames (Landon) and Madilyn Hames, aunts and uncles, Brian and Kelly Mullinax, Susan Sanders, Michelle Hames and Dumpy Frazier, nieces Oaklee Hambright, A'rya Wilkins, nephews Odin Batchler and cousins Ryan Mullinax (Emily), Kara Miller (Hunter), Brandon Frazier and Hannah McIntyre.

Bailey attended Gaffney High School, was a member of the Air Force ROTC, achieving the rank of Major, a Junior Firefighter at CKC VFD, loved fishing and hunting, and a member of Love Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at White Columns Funeral Service, Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 6-8 pm with a Celebration of Life Service, Friday, April 19, 2024, at 3 pm at Mountain View Baptist Church, 1560 Piedmont Rd., Blacksburg, SC, with Rev, Ron "PR" Culbertson and Rev. Rick Martin officiating.

Pallbearers serving are Luke Leskanic, Lane Peeler, Hunter Vinesett, Hunter Upchurch, Lane Blackwell, Wesley Poole and Brayden Patterson.
