Tommy Lee Talley

Tommy Lee Talley, 59, of Lavender Road, Grover, NC, passed way, Saturday, May 16th, at Cherokee Medical Center, Gaffney, SC.

He was the husband of Amanda Joy (Fortenberry) Talley. He was the father to daughters; Megan Talley Robbins (Nathan Robbins), Miranda Talley Isenhart (Shawn Isenhart), and Suzanne Ray. He also had a son, Joseph M. Green (Kristin Harris) and stepson Joshua Meyers. In addition to his wife and children, left to cherish his memory are grandchildren; Gavin Green, Jesse Isenhart, Corbin Lash, Darian Lash and special granddaughter Karlee Ann Harris.

Additional family include brothers; Roger Talley, Eugene Talley (Pamela) and sisters; Linda Blanton (Dennis), Darlene Richardson (Terrance), Gloria Talley (Kevin Hatfield), Arlene Skinner, and Susan May. He had numerous nieces and nephews as well.

He is preceded in death by brother Jerry Talley.

Tommy was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on February 4, 1961, a son of the late Mattie Marie (Claiborne) and Joseph Bill Talley. He was saved at Love Valley Baptist Church and also attended New Buffalo Baptist Church. Tommy loved his family, grandchildren and animals which include his beloved dogs, Sheba, Rupert, Alpha and Gypsy Doodle. He was known to be "Jack of All Trades", as he worked constantly but he also enjoyed gardening.

A Celebration of Life service will be held, Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 10:00 am, graveside at New Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Reverend Adam Greene officiating. The cemetery is located at 1201 Lavender Road, Grover, NC 28073.

Those who wish to attend should remember that social distancing at the graveside needs to be practiced as much as possible.
