Timothy Scott "Scottie" Blackwell, 53, Union Highway, Gaffney, SC, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Cherokee Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of Gladys Wilson Blackwell and the late Henry Leroy Blackwell. He was married to Tammy Crowder Blackwell of the home . Scottie loved his family and he was greatly loved as well, being affectionately called "Pickle" and "Pillsbury" by his family. He enjoyed NASCAR being a true Dale Earnhardt fan and a devoted Gaffney Indian Football fan, making sure not to miss a game.
In addition to his wife, Tammy and his mother Gladys, cherishing his memory is his son, Christopher Blackwell of the home, brothers; David Wayne Blackwell, Sr, (Carrie), Gaffney and Ernest Blackwell, (Shanan), Gastonia, NC. Also included are his sister, Lisa Mosley, (Donald), Blacksburg and nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Scottie is preceded in death by his father, his sister, Rita Ann Phillips, and grandparents Josie and Ernest Alvis and Rev. Isaac H. Wilson and Ada Wilson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00AM, at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, Blacksburg, with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Frederick Memorial Gardens, Gaffney.
Those wishing to pay their respect prior to the service, may do so at the home of his mother Gladys Blackwell, 107 Guthrie Street, Gaffney, SC, beginning Tuesday, August 4 after 12pm. E-Condolences may be sent to whitecolumnsfuneralservice.com or click the Tribute Wall tab above.
