Ruth E. Richards

Ruth E, Richards, 77, of Blacksburg, SC passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday, August 23, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of the late James V. Richards and daughter of the late Wesley and Minnie Childers. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Carolyn Gonzales, Linda Jackson and Ruth Upton all of Blacksburg, SC, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a sister Jackie Dover of Gaffney, SC.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son James Roland Richards, brothers Roger "Buddy" Dale Childers, John Childers, Bob Childers and a sister Grace Childers and a sister-in-law Carolyn Raines.

She worked at Grover Industries, enjoyed flowers, cooking, cleaning house, sewing, canning and loved her family.

A Visitation for Family and Friends will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 11-12pm at White Columns Funeral Service with a Celebration of Life Graveside Service at 12pm, at Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Pallbearers serving are Christain Feregrino, Daniel Arrowood, Kenny Dixion, Kenny Dixion Jr., Larry Scott Ramsey, William David Jackson.
