Ruby Mae Wheeler

Ruby Mae Wheeler of Gaffney, SC passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Robert Jackson Dover and Ola Victoria Blackwell Dover. She was preceeded in death by her husbands Luther Richards Sr. and Robert Wheeler and a brother Jerry Blackwell of Blacksburg, SC. Surviving Mrs. Wheeler are a daughter Loretta Coker ( Ricky), a son Luther Richards, Jr. ( Amanda ) and step son Scott Wheeler. Grandchildren Micheal Fisher, Brittany Richards, Austin Bolt ( Amy), Aaron Coker ( Courtney), and 7 Great Grands Paisleigh Richards, Derek Leagon, Everett Bolt, Richard Bolt, Raelyn Coker, Kaelyn Coker ,Owen Coker and many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.. Also surviving are a brother Naaman Dover of Blacksburg, SC and sisters Dianne Dover of Rock Hill, SC and Betty Whiten of Blacksburg, SC.

She was retired from Elizabeth Weaving and in her free time loved to finish word puzzles.

Receiving of friends will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, September 1 , 2021 from 6- 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 1 pm at Crestview Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC with the Reverend Rick Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Wheeler will lie in state from 12 - 1 pm. 

Pallbearers assisting are Ricky Coker, Austin Bolt, Brittany Richards, Brian Lear II, Jesse Brooks, Robbie Godbee Willie Bigham & Ricky Richards, Jr.

The family will be at the 136 N. Green River Rd., Gaffney, SC all other times.
