Rita Jean (Hambright) Turner

Rita Jean Turner, 63, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Lynchburg, VA. A native of Birzebbuga, Malta, she was the daughter of the late Harold Dean Hambright and Maria Lourdes Agius Ratcliffe, of Beaufort. At the age of 3, she moved to Blacksburg and was raised by her aunt, Gloria Jean Karsmizki. Kittens and cats brought her joy and she also enjoyed fishing when she was able. 

In addition to her mother, celebrating her memory is her son and his wife, Brad and Jessica Ramsey of Blacksburg, SC and her sister Maria Ferguson, St. Helena Island, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Along with her father, she was predeceased by brothers; Paul Hambright and Walter Hambright.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October, 16, 2021 at 4:00pm, at White Columns with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 3:00-3:45pm. The family will be at Brad's home 509 Rock Springs Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
