Raymond "Ray" Kenneth Black, Jr, 74, of Old Chester Rd., passed away peacefully at his residence April 16, 2026, surrounded by family. He was married to the late Laura Belle Moss Black and son of the late Raymond K. Black Sr, and Loretta C. Black
Born in Gaston County, NC, he served our Country in the US Army and was a postman with the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed watching westerns and sci-fi movies and loved spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Crystal Moss of Blacksburg, SC, his granddaughter Makenzie Hardy and great grandson Princeton "Prince" Hardy.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 2 pm at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with a visitation to follow. Officiating will be Pastor JD Wilson. Pallbearers serving are Tylen Tate, Keshawn Tate, Deshun Corry, Grayson Duff, Josh Erwin, and Shrawmaine Carson, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer is Princeton Hardy.
