Lottie Martin Blanton, 81, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain, NC. The daughter of the late Artie Estelle Turner Martin and Ben Miller Martin, she was the widow of Mr. Tommy Blanton.
Ms. Lottie was a member and Sunday School teacher at Broad River Baptist Church. She was known as "The Card Lady" and enjoyed visiting shut ins at the nursing home. She genuinely cared for people and also served on the Board of Iron City Ministries in Blacksburg. Prior to retirement, she worked as a Line Operator at the former Stouffer's now Nestle Manufacturing.
Cherishing her memory are daughter, Rita Culbertson Pate and her husband Mark, of Blacksburg, sons; Michael Culbertson and his wife, Cheryl, of Gaffney, Stephen "Steve" Culbertson, of Blacksburg, and Shannon and Amy Culbertson as well as 8 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son, William "Billy" Culbertson, and daughter, Kimberly Mullinax.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 29th, beginning promptly at 2:00pm at Broad River Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Meetze officiating.
