Linda "Nanny" C Carroll

Linda "Nanny" Phillips Carroll, 78, of W. Carolina St., Blacksburg, passed away May 24, 2026, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Shelby, NC, she was a cosmetologist and the daughter of the late Joe Frank Phillips and Amy Margaret Sentell Gordon. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Paige D. Pennington (John), Deah D. Owens, and son Daved Blanton. Her grandchildren Miranda Pennington, Kristopher Owens, Tyler Pennington, Leah Lipsey, Noah Blanton, Vada Pennington, Jade Lipsey and Landon Blanton. Eleven great grandchildren and her sisters Nancy J. Spencer and Elaine Gordon Bare.

A Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at the funeral home from 6 - 7:30 pm. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Elder and Mr. John Pennington officiating. Pallbearers serving are Chris Huskey, Kristopher Owens, Jonathan Pennington, Jonathan T. Pennington, Daved Blanton and Lance Manley.
