Linda Kay (Waters) Orr

Linda Waters Orr, 77, A native of Gaffney SC., died October 23, 2023, 6 years to the date of her husband's death, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice at Cherokee Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Novella Waters.

She is survived by two sons - John Wayne Orr of Blacksburg, and James Edward Orr (Susan) of Blacksburg;  and two daughters - Tammy Orr Smith, of Blacksburg, and her "Baby", Chatney Orr Stephens ( Dustin) , of the home;  grandchildren -  Ashley Seay, Chatney Orr Stephens, CJ Turner Peeler( Josh), Karrie Orr, and Justin Turner;  great-grandchildren - Jeremiah Orr, Navaehda Kay Stephens, Remington Crew Stephens, Gunner Joe Stephens, and Breena Peeler, and Blair Peeler ,three brothers, Gene Waters of Inman SC, David Waters, of Ca. and Charlie Waters all of Gaffney, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Vivian Green, Brenda Rutledge, Blanche Porter, Frances Allison, one brother Paul Waters and five nephews.

A caring and loving mother she enjoyed dancing, flower and vegetable gardening, yard selling and date nights with her husband Joe Edward Orr. She worked for Hoechst Fibers and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 27, 2023, from 6:00 PM-8:00 p.m., at White Columns Funeral Service.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, 2:00 PM, at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Leary officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
