Judy Kay (Owens) Wray

Judy Kay (Owens) Wray, 79, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at her residence.  A native of Cherokee County, she was born to William (Bill) Owens and Lula Rhea (Ramsey) Owens on January 7, 1943. Judy was married September 29, 1960, to Kenneth Wray and celebrated 62 years of marriage. She is a graduate of Gaffney High School and a member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church and owner of Judy's Beauty Shop. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister- in- law, Margie Wray Ledbetter and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents are brothers and sisters, Douglas Ervin Owens, Harry Eugene Owens, Doris Owens Earls, Sybil Owens Goodson, Bobby Neal Owens, Joe Byron Owens, Libby Owens Childers and Buddy Wayne Owens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, November 11, 2022, at White Columns Funeral Service. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to her service. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Pallbearers serving are Matthew Earls, Jeremy Earls, Cody Carroll, Shane Owens, Aaron Earls, Ricky Ledbetter, Brent Woods, and Butch Bailey.
