Mr. Jimmie Chapman, 86, of Blacksburg, SC passed away peacefully Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born in Cleveland County, NC and is survived by his wife Betty Jean Brackett Chapman. He was the son of the late Vernie Bradley Chapman and Herman Chapman. Left to cherish his memory, including his wife are daughters, Carolyn Widener and Sandra Wilson (Keith), grandchildren, Jeremy Widener (Stacy), Travis Widener, John Wilson, Joy White, William Wilson (Amelia), Adam Summers, Renee Hughes (Keith), and Jessica Adkins (Derrick), great-grandkids, Latoya Lockhart, Lacey Martin, Khloe Summers, Kyra Hughes, Dainan Hughes, Alyssa Widener, Payton Adkins, Anna Martin, Abby Martin, David Wilson, Sandy Wilson, William K. Wilson and great great grandchildren Camden Lockhart, Madison Carter and Maleah Carter. He is predeceased by his sister Claire Williams and son in law Bryan Widener.
He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed plowing fields for others. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mr. Melvin Sizemore, Sr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at White Columns Funeral Service from 1 - 1:45 pm with a graveside service following at Clingman Memorial Gardens at 2 pm with the Rev. Tyler Moss officiating.
Pallbearers serving are William Wilson, Adam Summers, Jeremy Widener, Travis Widener, Camden Lockhart, and Larry Wilson.
