James Edward Traylor

 

James Edward Traylor, 74, of Blacksburg, SC passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, January 15, 2022. He was married to the late Ruth Brown Traylor, then the late Barbara Brenda Traylor and son of the late Richard H. & Irene M. Traylor. Left to cherish his memory is daughter, Karen Traylor Carroll (Ernie) of Blacksburg, SC and son, Luke Traylor of Chester, SC. Also surviving are his grandchildren Ernest Carroll III, Amber Carroll (Dillon) and great-grandchildren Kinsley Blackwell and Easton Murphy.

 

He was a retired welder, attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in York, SC, enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique cars, guns, and never met a stranger. 

 

 He was also preceded in death by his brothers Robert (Bob) Traylor, Joseph (Jake) Traylor and his sisters Sarah Whitney, Rosalie Burkette, Thelma Moss, and Kathleen Leverette.

 

A Receiving of Friends will be held Graveside, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 3 - 4PM and a Celebration of Life Graveside Service at 4pm, Hickory Grove Church of God Cemetery, 2427 Sawmill Rd, Hickory Grove, SC 29717. The Rev. Mike Goodwin is officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Steven Moss, Scott Brakefield, Mason Brakefield, Travis Brakefield, R. Travis Brakefield and Eric Brakefield.
