James William Hawkins, Sr.
James William Hawkins, Sr., 71, of 131 Killian St. Blacksburg, SC died Friday, November 12th, 2021 at CaroMont Health, Gastonia, NC. He was born in Cleveland County on June 19, 1950, to the late John Ken and Addie Lee Hawkins. The husband of Linda Willis Hawkins for 47 years and father of two Sons, Gary Dean Moore (Jennifer) of Blacksburg, William Todd Smith (Starlena) of Shelby, NC; two Daughters, Aleta Crouse, Blacksburg, SC and Lizzy Hawkins of the home; Daughter in Law, Sarah Hawkins of Pigeon Forge, TN; two Brothers, Chivous Hawkins (Joyce), Henrietta, NC, Boyd Hawkins, Fallston, NC; one Sister, Francis Emory, of Forest, NC; 15 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Preceding in death in addition to his parents are one son, James William Hawkins, Jr; three Sisters, Shelby Jean Sheehan, Janie Hunt, and Mary Boone; three Brothers Johnny Ray Hawkins, Cecil Hawkins, and Glenn Hawkins.
He retired from Polygram but at one time was a EMT for Shelby Rescue Squad and worked for the Cleveland Co. Sheriff Dept. A veteran serving in the Army, he was also a member of the Shelby VFW and was of the Baptist Faith.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov 16, 2021, 2:00 PM-3:30 PM at White Columns Funeral Service, 102 N. Rutherford St, Blacksburg, SC, with a Service of Celebration immediately following with Rev. Derek McAbee officiating. The family will be at the residence.
