December 5th, 2021, “JJ” Jack Joshua Collins passed away unexpectedly at his home. JJ was only 19 years old, and has lived in Blacksburg, SC. He was a 2020 Blacksburg High School graduate.
JJ left behind many pieces of his heart: his Mama, Denise Fowler Collins, Grandfathers Eddie Fowler (Gail), and Bud Killian, along with 4 sisters, Courtney Gore Phillips (Alan), Heather Collins (Fred), Hannah Collins Waddell (Steven), and Ashley Gore (Eddie), and brother Jace Brown.
Also left to cherish his memories are: nephews/ Wesley, Jax, and Jett, and nieces/ Jurni, Taylor, and Jovie. JJ was also loved by many aunts; Jill Beam (the late Randy Beam), Janie Allen (Chris), Jenny Stroupe (Dennis), Joy Thayer (Frankie), and Julie Collins, with uncles Scott Fowler (Sandy), Jamey Ferguson (Mellissa), with an abundance of cousins.
JJ was preceded in death by his beloved father, Joshua Taylor Collins, his PawPaw Jackie Collins, and his grandmothers Anita Collins, Jan Fowler, Margaret Ferguson, and his Yaya, Bonnie Collins, along with his grandpapa Jack Joshua Collins, and granddaddy Jack Roberts. He was loved by many close family friends who strongly influenced his life; David Roark and Da, Ben Bennett, Jon Bennett, and Drayson.
JJ was the youngest of five siblings. He was known by everyone as intelligent, handsome, charming, and witty. But if you had the pleasure of truly knowing him you knew of his sarcasm. His smile lit up a room. He loved all of his family and friends. His personality and heart will never be forgotten.
The celebration of life will be held on Friday December 10, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Blacksburg, SC. The visitation will be held from 5-6 pm, and service will follow. The family would like to thank you for continued thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
