Gregory Edward Hatcher

Gregory Edward Hatcher, 67, of 239 Philbeck Dr. Blacksburg, SC, passed away Friday, May 31st, at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was married to Laurie Richards Hatcher and son of Martha S. Hatcher and the late Ray Hatcher, Sr of Mingo Junction, Oh. 

In addition to his wife and mother, left to cherish his memory are sons Shaun Hatcher of Richmond, Oh., Joey Newman of Blacksburg, SC, a daughter Tia Henderson (Will) of Woodruff, SC, seven grandsons Joshua Carpenter of Spartanburg, SC, Zachary Henderson, Alexander Henderson, Preston Henderson, Caleb Henderson, Liam Henderson and Matthew Henderson, all of Woodruff, SC. His brothers Ray Hatcher of Mingo Junction, Oh., Steven Hatcher of Cadiz, Oh. and Jeff Hatcher (Sandra) of Redfield, Ar.

Gregory was born in Steubenville, Oh and served his Country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Weavetec for over 21 years, enjoyed playing chess and other board games, fishing, his The Ohio State Buckeyes, and loved his family.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 1pm at White Columns, with a visitation following the service. Officiating will be William Henderson.

The family will be at their respective homes.
