Glenn Allum Obituary

Glenn Wayne Allum went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2021. He was born on July 4, 1972 in San Diego, CA Naval Hospital to his parents, Arthur (Art) and Rebecca (Becky) Allum.  Glenn moved to Blacksburg with his family in 1977 where he attended the Blacksburg public schools and graduated from Blacksburg High School.  He retired from Limestone College where he worked in maintenance.

Glenn was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and loved to travel. He made several mission trips to Nicaragua with Chosen Children Ministers. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved sports and old cars and trucks. His favorite football team was Alabama.

Glenn is survived by his father Arthur (Art) Allum of Spartanburg, SC, step-mother Elizabeth (Lib) Allum, brother, Allen Allum and wife Gina of Blacksburg, sister, Anna Hunger and husband Tim of York, PA, nephew, Brandon James Allum and wife Lara and their son Maddox of Greenville, SC, and step brothers and sister. He was predeceased by his loving Mother, Becky.

Glenn loved everyone.  He especially loved his aunts, uncles, and cousins in Alabama and his church family. During his short life he endured many physical trials but always came through with his famous smile.  He would call his family and friends ending the calls with, "I just wanted to check on you".

Glenn was grateful for the things that he could do and content with the things that he could not do. He was especially close to Mrs. Polly Moore, Mrs. Brenda Clark, and Mrs. Lucile Hopper of Buffalo Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Buffalo Baptist Church in Blacksburg.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with the Dr. Bruce Price and Rev. Harold Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery.  At other times the family will be at their respective homes.
