Ernest Jason "Jay" Hardin, 43, 208 Peden Rd., Fountain Inn, SC, went home to be with the Lord, August 25, 2018, at home. Raised in Blacksburg, he is the son of Ernest "Ernie" and Jo Ann White Hardin of Blacksburg. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He graduated from Blacksburg High School and Spartanburg Community College. He was an outdoorsman from his occupation to his hobbies. He was owner of EJH Land Surveying, LLP. .He was fond of his hometown and community and an avid Clemson fan.
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to parents, is his son, Ernest "EJ" Jason Hardin, Jr; brother - Wade Hardin and wife, Trebbi, of Gaffney, SC; two nieces- Ali and Molli Hardin;and special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends August 29, 2018, from 3-4:45 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church. Services will begin at 5:00 PM, with Rev. Eddie Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home of his parents, 146 Woodhaven Lane, Blacksburg, SC.
Pallbearers serving are Kevin Moss, Brad Wilkins, Jason West, Dustin Phillips, Derrick Phillips, Kenneth Watkins, Timothy Moss and Jim Capps.
Honorary Pallbearers serving will be his classmates - The BHS Class Of 1993.
