Elizabeth " Lib" Ellen Plumley

Elizabeth Ellen Batchelor Plumley, heard the words," Well done, good and faithful servant."

Lib, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friends to many, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. She was the daughter of Rufus Guy Batchelor and Dolly Hall Batchelor. She graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1953 and Limestone College in 1975. Lib worked for the Department of Social Services for 25 years serving childrens' needs through foster care licensing, adoption, and child abuse prevention services. One of her many joys throughout the years was teaching Sunday School classes of varying ages. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Ensley (Faron) of Greer; one granddaughter, Faith Keefe (Bryson) of Greer; 2 step granddaughters, Kristin Burrell (TJ) of Lyman and Carson Clark (Will) of Taylors; 5 step great grandchildren, Ezri, Nate, Adelaide, Jensen, and Genevieve Burrell of Lyman; 2 siblings, Rev. Lewis Batchelor of Gaffney and Dale Minton of Darlington; and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Plumley Allison; and a sister, Shirley Batchelor Love.

Lib's life will be celebrated Sunday, August 27, 2023, with receiving of friends from 2-3 pm and a Celebration of Life Service at 3 pm in the Chapel at Frederick Memorial Gardens. Rev. Richard Harrison, Mr. Michael Batchelor and Rev. Lewis Batchelor are officiating.  Pallbearers serving are John Michael Batchelor, Nathan Batchelor, Caleb Batchelor, Carter Gosnell, Caiden Humphries, Neil Minton, Riley Minton, and Santos Ramos.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's choice.
