David "Booger" Wayne Blackwell, Jr.

 David "Booger" Wayne Blackwell, Jr, 36, of 113 Guthrie St. Gaffney, SC passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Carrie Blackwell and the late David Blackwell Sr. Left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother are sisters Ashley Blackwell (Tyler), Lisa "Piggy" Bolick (Bobby) of Blacksburg, SC, his grandmother Gladys Wilson Blackwell and best friends Eddie Mullinax and B.J. Gunnells. He was preceded in death by his father David Blackwell Sr. and grandmother Betty Wyatt.

David was a professional wrestler and went by the names Blade and Big Sexy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and a Graveside Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 2 pm. at Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney, SC with the Rev. Gregg Martin officiating.

Pallbearers serving are Tyler Vess, Bobby Bolick, Eddie Mullinax, Josh Erwin, Jerry Norman, Jr. and Jerry Norman, III.
