David Edward Day

David Edward Day, 67, 175 Bees Branch Road, Blacksburg, SC, died January 19, 2018, at Mary Black Health System, Spartanburg, SC.  Born in Gastonia, NC, he was the husband of the late Patricia Ballenger Day and the son of the late Jack Arvell and Betty Jean Ross Day.  He was a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by four sons - James Day of Charleston, SC, Shane Day of Gastonia, NC, Justin Day of Belmont, NC, and Jarrett Day of Blacksburg, SC; two daughters - Wendy M. Grant of Lincolnton, NC, and Angela Day of Gastonia, NC; and two step-daughters - Merry Meeler of Kings Mountain, NC, and Gennipher Cordell of Blacksburg, SC.  

A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018, 2:00 PM, at White Columns, with Rev. Jamie Billings officiating.  At other times, the family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VFW, 900 S. Granard St., Gaffney, SC, 29341.
