Carolyn Diane (Blackstone) Tessner

Carolyn Diane Tessner, 77, of Moss Crossing Rd. in Blacksburg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, March 24, 2026 at MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, TX. She was married to William (Billy) H. Tessner, Jr and daughter of the late Wilton and Thelma Robertson Blackstone.

She was a beloved secretary at Blacksburg High School and loved every student she came in contact with. She loved her family, especially the grandchildren, enjoyed cutting grass and was passionate about her kids.

Left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband of 57 years, her sons Kevin Tessner (Nikki) and Chad Tessner (Jennifer), grandsons Zack Tessner (Meredith) and Colby Tessner,  and her special girls, Hailee Tessner, Taylor Tessner, and Logan Tessner. Her siblings, Kenneth Blackstone (Linda) and Marlene Jones. A niece, Angie Culbertson and nephews Joey Blackstone, Robbie Jones (Tasha), and Brian Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Brenda Robertson, Deborah Blackstone, Michael Harvey, Sherlyn Harvey, Anthony Blackstone, and her nephews Jeffrey Blackstone and Christopher Blackstone.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 11 AM-1 PM at First Baptist Church Blacksburg, SC with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 1 PM with Dr. Wayne Brown and Pastor Barry Miles officiating. Burial will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers serving are Zack Tessner, Colby Tessner, Brian Jones, Mark Moore, Garrett Moss, and David Sossamon.

The family will be at 351 Moss Crossing Rd., Blacksburg, SC
