Brenda Goforth Obituary

March 29, 2023, at 11:30 am, Mama heard the words" Well done, thou good and faithful servant" as her Lord and Savior welcomed her home. She was also reunited with our Daddy. What a celebration that must have been.

Mama lived a life that showed who and what she stood for. It was a simple life, but one of great impact. She loved the Lord above all and would say" My God" can and will. Her life showed that love not only in her words but her actions as well. She was a fervently praying woman, a true prayer warrior. She loved her church. She was a faithful member of Love Valley Baptist Church.

The other love of her life was her family, she would always make time for the little and big things no matter how tired or bad she felt. She told us always, but more importantly she showed us. She lived and loved to see and talk about her 2 daughters, but especially her grand kids and great grands. They were the light of her life on this earth.

In addition to her love for the Lord, her church and her family, Mama also loved the Life Enrichment Center where she volunteered for many years before becoming a participant. She loved all the participants and staff. She shared her love and hugs abundantly. She loved flowers and gardening, working puzzles, building LEGO, being outside and eating cookies. She was our own real life Cookie Monster.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James "Delmer" Goforth as well as her parents, Noah J. Crocker and Nannie Pinson Crocker, her brothers Noah J. Crocker, Jr., Jessie Crocker, Ray Crocker, Larry Crocker and her sisters Sarah Ellis and Ann Bridges.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Toni Camp (Kenny) and Holly Goforth. Grandchildren, Bradley Camp (Danielle), Casey Bridges (Brandon) , and 4 great granddaughters, Elin Camp, Haydin Bridges, Peyton Bridges and Lottie Bridges. Her brothers, Arthur Pinson and Bill Crocker and sisters in love, Donna Tesner, Janice Crocker and Mary Crocker. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

To know Mama was to love her, and she always had much love to give. To her, family was more than a blood connection. It was a heart connection. Family by heart left to cherish her are the Davidsons (Heath, Heather, Aliviah, Felicity, Aaliyah, Luke), the Flowers (Brian, Nicci, Chloe, Coley), Chad Roseboro, Sr., Takella Foster, staff of Life Enrichment Center and Chantell Hoeftman.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Life Enrichment Staff, Spartanburg Regional Hospice Staff, and the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home Staff. You are all angels, and we Thank You from the depths of our souls for loving and taking such excellent care of Mama.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Love Valley Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Life Enrichment Center, 110 Life Enrichment Blvd., Shelby, NC 28150
