Betty Lou (Bell) Martin, 77, of Rock Hill, SC, formerly of Blacksburg, SC went home to her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 3rd, peacefully, at Westminster Health & Rehab Center. Born in McColl, SC to parents Charles E. and Mildred Padgett Bell, Betty lived by these life principles...Always Have Fun, Dream Big, Ask For What You Want, Dare to Take a Risk, Look For The Best in Everybody, Make Time For What Matters, and Let Kids be Themselves.
She is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and attended Winthrop University. Betty retired from the textile manufacturing industry as a customer service rep after spending many years as an executive assistant. She was a member of New Harvest Church of God in Gaffney, SC.
Cherishing her memory are two daughters and two sons; Valerie Pynn of Athens, GA, Todd (Tamara) Martin of Gainesville, FL, Heather (Reed) Marquis of Rock Hill, SC, and Brian (Julie) Martin of Asheville, NC, and a brother, Glenn Bell (Sonia) of Columbia, SC.
Betty has 9 Grandchildren, Grayson and Cullen Pynn (Valerie), Erin, Emma, and Megan Martin (Todd), Kaitlin and Morgan Marquis (Heather), and Eliza and Liam Martin (Brian).
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Graveside at Clingman Memorial Gardens, 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10th, with Rev. Robert Wells officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Westminster Towers Endowment Fund, 1330 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 as an appreciation of their staff's loving and attentive care of their Mother.
