Aileen French (Peterson) Grayson

Aileen French Grayson, 95, of 409 W. Pine St., Blacksburg, SC passed away at her residence, Friday, February 21, 2025. She is the daughter of the late Carl and Lela Allen Peterson, and wife to the late Gene Grayson. Aileen was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church and volunteered at Iron City Ministries, Backpack Buddies, and the Good News Club. 

Left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews along with two sisters, Helen Hardin of Smyrna, SC and Barbara Harris, of Blacksburg, SC. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, are siblings, Gloria Phillips, Jake Peterson, Glen Peterson, and Alfred Peterson. 

A receiving of friends and family will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 2-3 pm at Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow with the Rev. Michael Owen officiating. Entombment will be held at Clingman Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Mark Hardin, Dale Hardin, Alan Hardin, Randy Phillips, Lane Harris, and Carl Peterson.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested Memorials be made to Backpack Buddies, c/o Broad River Baptist Church, 419 W Cherokee St. Blacksburg, SC 29702 or Mt Whitaker Baptist Church, 434 N Mountain St Blacksburg, SC 29702.
