Joe Edward Orr

Joe Edward Orr, 75, 13584 Smithford Road, Hickory Grove, SC, died October 23, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  A native of York County, SC, he is the husband of Linda Waters Orr of the home and son of the late James and Wilma Parker Orr.   He was a former butcher with Brown Packing, Grubbs' Meats, and G & W Packing.  He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.  He was a Mason.  He loved hunting, working and gardening.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two sons - John Wayne Orr of Blacksburg, and James Edward Orr and wife, Susan, of Blacksburg;  and two daughters - Tammy Orr Smith and husband, David, of Blacksburg, and his "Baby", Chatney Orr Stephens and husband, Dustin Keith, of the home;  grandchildren -  Ashley Seay, Chatney Orr Stephens, CJ Turner Peeler and husband, Josh, Karrie Orr, and Justin Turner;  great-grandchildren - Jeremiah Orr, Navaehda Kay Stephens, Remington Crew Stephens, Gunner Joe Stephens, and Breena Peeler; and one sister - Lucille Price of Gaffney.  

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 3:30-5:30 PM, at Unity Baptist Church, Hickory Grove, SC.  A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.  At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
