James Sherod Jackson

James Sherod Jackson, 67, of 317 Frye Road, Gaffney, SC, died July 29, 2017, at Mary Black - Gaffney. He was the son of the late Shirley Jackson Loftis. He loved dogs, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by six children - Missy Jackson of Mullins, SC, Jay Thomas and Jeff Thomas both of Shelby, NC, Josh Ruppe, Brooke Stunkard and Wesley Jackson all of Gaffney, SC; two sisters - Patricia Lanier and Cathy Bolin both of Gaffney, SC; and one brother - Reginald Jackson of Gaffney, SC. He is preceded in death by a brother - Leon Jackson, and a sister - Louise Martin.

A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 7:00 PM, at Love Springs Baptist Church, 554 Sunny Slope Road, Cowpens, SC, with Rev. Ron Culbertson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times, the family will be at their individual homes.
