Gloria Dawn (Martin) Cerny

Gloria Dawn Cerny, 80, 952 Swofford Drive, Cowpens, SC, passed away September 4, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was the wife of the late Charles Alexander Cerny and daughter of the late Merrill and Katie Pansy White Martin. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in Gaffney. She was a retired Home Health Nurse Supervisor. She loved her family and loved to garden.

Left to cherish her memory is her son - Charles Cerny, Jr. of Cowpens; daughters - Cynthia Cerny Hall of Lincolnton, NC, and Cheri April Cerny of Cowpens; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother - Stephen Martin of Cowpens; and four sisters - Ellen March, Verrill Spate, Ann Elliott, and June DeVaney all of Cowpens. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son - Carlton Alan Cerny, Sr. and four brothers - Timothy Martin, Billy Martin, Stanley Martin, and Harold Martin.

A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service at Frederick Memorial Gardens will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018, 2:00 PM, with Elder Manfred Martin and Elder Steve Martin officiating. At other times, the family will be at the home.

Pallbearers serving are Charles Cerny, Jr, Chad Cerny, Mark Hall, Craig Mathis, Steve Martin and Alan Cerny, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer serving will be Trevor Hall.
