Frances Ann (Metts) Sanders

Frances Ann Sanders, 85, of 1543 Stony Point Rd. Shelby, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2017, at her home. Born December 28, 1931, in Newnan, Georgia, she was the wife of Rev. Billy Sanders and was the daughter of the late M. A. and Cora Hardin Metts. She was a devout Baptist and served as a Pastor's wife for over 50 years. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Frances is survived by her husband of 69 years, Billy Sanders, of the home; six children - Joel Sanders and wife, Carol, of the home, Lynn Friday and husband, Donald, of Valrico, FL, Lloyd Sanders and wife, Louise, of Greenwood, SC, Ginger Sellers and husband, Mike, of Ennis, TX, Carolyn Givens and husband, Ronnie, of Wimauma, FL, and Mary LaVine and husband, Mike, of Blacksburg, SC; a sister - Dot Kachelhoffer of Birmingham, AL; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two on the way.

The family will receive friends August 1, 2017, from 10-11:30 AM, at Hopewell Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC. A Homegoing Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 11:30 AM, with Rev. Joel Sanders and Rev. Lloyd Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home.

Pallbearers serving are Stephen LaVine, Thomas LaVine, Ben Sanders, Curtis Sanders, Travis Sellers and T. C. Friday.
