Betty Faye Peterson, 88, 510 Thompson Street, Gaffney, SC, formerly of Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord October 2, 2019, at Spartanburg Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Claude Nesbitt Peterson and daughter of the late James and Faye Mace Broome. She was a member of New Song. She was retired from the Textile Industry. She loved puzzles, reading, and most of all, her family.
Left to cherish her memory are one son, Mitchell Peterson, of Chattanooga, TN; one granddaughter, raised as a daughter, Samantha Hightower of Loris, SC; 4 grandchildren - Claudette Wood, Kenneth Peterson, Mitchelle Peterson, and James Peterson, all of McMinnville, TN; 5 great-grandchildren - Adah and Ezra Hightower, of Loris, SC, and Harley Peterson, Isaiah and Linda Wood of McMinnville, TN; and one sister, Illa Peeler of Blacksburg, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie S. Perry, one grandson, Eric Perry, and one brother, Dean Broome.
Services will be held at a later date. Family will be at their respective homes..
