Dennis Woodrow Martin

Dennis Woodrow Martin, 64, of 269 Lancaster Dr., Blacksburg, SC, passed away unexpectedly February 13, 2024, at Cherokee Medical Center. He was married to the late Betty Jean Martin and son of the late Arthur and Mattie Genette Martin.

Left to cherish his memory are daughters Roxanne Watson and Angel Martin Tonio, grandchildren Jordan Martin (Michaela), Austin Martin (Amber), Wren Martin, Jerrin Cooksey, Lucas Moore, Harmony Adams, all of Blacksburg, SC and Destaney Martin of Gaffney, SC. Great grandchildren Everleigh, Emersyn, Logan and bonus great grandchildren Neveah, Emberlynn, Journey and Kaysen. Siblings Margaret Boone (Billy) of Blacksburg, SC, Joel Martin (Mildred) of Blacksburg, SC, Lee Martin (Sherry) of Bradenton, Fl., Cecil Martin (Trudy) of Blacksburg, SC, Colvin Martin of Blacksburg, SC, Brenda Pruett (Brian) of Blacksburg, SC, Eddie Martin (Phylis) of Neosho, Mo., Mark Martin (Angie) of Blacksburg, SC, Loretta Alexander (Ronnie) of Siloam Springs, Ar. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Basil Martin.

Born in Gaffney, SC, a graduate of Blacksburg High School and he worked for Wendell Fabrics for over 30 years. He was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, enjoyed watching western movies, cartoons and wrestling.

A Receiving of friends and family will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, from 2-4 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at Nazareth Baptist Church, 1156 99 Island Rd., Blacksburg, SC 29702. Rev. Jamie Billings is officiating.

The family will be at the home all other times.
